Graduate School of Banking in Colorado
Annual School Session
Hosted each July at the University of Colorado Boulder, this 25-month graduate school of banking delivers a relevant and challenging curriculum that deepens students' understanding of community banking.
In the Annual School Session, students take courses that are designed and regularly updated to tackle relevant topics in the community banking industry. Students attend three consecutive annual two-week sessions at CU Boulder, and have numerous opportunities to network with bankers from their states and across the country.
2020 UPDATE - COVID-19
Annual School Session & Community Bankers (Alumni) Summit – CANCELED
- We’re working closely with the University of Colorado and are planning the session as scheduled
- Enrollment remains open; GSBC has waived cancellation fees for new and existing students should they not be able to attend in 2020 as planned
- All new and existing scholarships will be transferred to 2021 for students unable to attend in 2020
- SBA education staff visit remains on schedule
Executive Development Institute for Community Bankers – April Session Cancelled, New Cohort to Begin in October
- Participants beginning in October 2020 will now graduate in April 2022
- A few seats from select markets are available for bankers interested in starting program in October
Community Bank Investments School – Postponed (New Date TBD)
- To offer the Community Bank Investments School effectively, we need access to CU Denver’s trading room with the Bloomberg terminals
- A new date will be announced once the university re-opens its classroom facilities

GSBC has three scholarship programs; there is a maximum of one scholarship award per student, disqualifying recipients of another GSBC scholarship from the Future Leaders Scholarship. Executive Development Institute for Community Bankers
GSB-Colorado
The Graduate School of Banking at Colorado’s Executive Development Institute for Community Bankers is a program for up-and-coming C-level executives whose work efforts influence the future direction of their banks. Participants attend four, four-day sessions in Colorado which are hosted every six months, in April and October respectively. A dual curriculum of advanced leadership and bank management strategies prepares participants for the challenges associated with leading a community bank in today’s increasingly competitive environment.
This 19-month program is designed to prepare internal candidates for executive management roles at community banks. Visit GSBColorado.org for further details and registration information.
