Next Step: Emerging Leaders

Emerging Leaders

The SDBA has embarked on an exciting effort to grow the next generation of banking leaders. The goal of this effort is to deepen the connection between emerging leaders and the SDBA, to deepen connections with the banking industry as a whole and to foster connections between industry professionals.

Led by the Emerging Leaders Work Group, the SDBA currently offers emerging leader programming in conjunction with the SDBA State Legislative Day, Annual Convention and the NEXT STEP: Emerging Leaders Summit held in the fall of each year. There is no list of requirements that must be met to participate in this programming. Each member organization is free to encourage participation by any and all personnel who may benefit from this initiative.

To grow South Dakota’s future bank leaders

Cultivate: Increase emerging bank leaders’ knowledge and understanding of the SDBA and topics of interest to the banking industry.
Connect: Provide opportunities for emerging bank leaders to network and exchange ideas with other industry professionals.
Engage: Promote involvement and advocacy at the local, state and federal levels.
Empower: Encourage emerging bank leaders to find and express their voices within their organizations, communities, SDBA and banking industry.
