Retirement Plan Changes: QRPs and IRAs

The “SECURE Act” was passed December 19, 2019 containing the most changes to retirement plans since the Pension Protection Act of 2006. The webinar will provide an overview or a snapshot of the changes to both IRAs and QRPs, in addition to other changes affecting your IRA procedures. Although additional guidance on The SECURE Act should be issued in the near future, it is very important for IRA personnel to be aware of the changes as a majority take affect January 1, 2020. More detailed information will be provided in future training programs provided by the association or by scheduling in-house customized training programs for you financial organization. Attendees will learn:

• Increase credit for establishing new SEP or SIMPLEs
• Repeal maximum age for Traditional IRA contributions
• Penalty free withdrawals for birth or adoptions
• RMD age increasing from 70.5 to 72
  
• Changing nonspouse beneficiary options
• Penalty free from Employer-sponsored
• New life expectancy tables and transition rules
