State
Banking Data Collection Project
The SDBA
sent a survey to all member banks in January asking for some
basic data for calendar year 2011 to advocate the importance
of banks to their local communities and to the state as a
whole. The intent of the project was to demonstrate that banks
are great corporate citizens and serve as
“stewards” of their communities and the state in ways beyond
routine banking services.
The SDBA unveiled the results of
its State Banking Data Collection Project during its State
Legislative Conference, Reception and Dinner on Feb. 8, 2012,
in Pierre. Copies of the
promotional handout
were provided to all attendees at the legislative dinner and
to all state legislators. The document is also available for
banks to use or modify if they would like to place it as an
advertisement in their local newspapers.
