Scholarships

SDBA Foundation provides a variety of banking scholarships to help students.

4High School Scholarship Money
Scholarships are available in $500 increments to the first 84 banks who agree to match an equal amount.  Use the following Suggested Criteria for Scholarship Application

4Herman Lerdal Scholarship - $1000
A $1000 Herman Lerdal Scholarship is offered to a junior at any South Dakota institution of higher learning. Click here for Application ~ Letter of Recommendation.

4SDSU Scholarship - $1000
A $1000 Scholarship is offered to a junior studying agricultural economics or ag business at South Dakota State University. For additional information and application forms contact: SDSU: Dr.Don Marshall, College of Agriculture, 605-688-5133.

4USD Scholarship - $1000
A $1000 Scholarship is offered to a junior at the School of Business at University of South Dakota. For additional information and application forms contact: USD: Dean Michael Keller, School of Business, 605-677-5455.

4DSU Scholarship- $1000
A $1000 Scholarship is offered to an incoming graduate student in information assurance with bank security specialization.  For additional information and application forms contact: Chris Giles, Dakota State University,  605.256.5693

 4Lake Area Technical Institute Scholarship - $1000
A $1000 Scholarship is offered at Lake Area Technical Institute awarded to a first year student majoring in consumer banking or agri-banking. For additional information and application forms contact: Kelly McDaniel at 605-882-5284, extension 296.

4Southeast Technical Institute Scholarship - $500
Two $500 Scholarships are offered to students majoring in financial services for an applied science degree. For additional information and application forms contact: Joel Hathaway at 605-367-7486.
